In „Your Hometown“ geht es um den Ort, von dem aus wir starten, um vielleicht irgendwann im Leben anzukommen.
Der Ort, den wir in einer einer bestimmten Lebensphase unbedingt verlassen wollen, der aber auch immer wieder Zufluchtsort sein kann, wenn wir bei uns selber nicht zuhause sind. Wo sich schmerzhafte Erinnerungen mit einer grossen Vertrautheit mischen und Geschichten aus unserer Vergangenheit plötzlich wie aus dem Nichts auftauchen und uns die Fragen von heute mit einer Leichtigkeit und einem Augenzwinkern beantworten.
„Your Hometown“ ist der Platz an dem immer noch die Menschen leben, die vor allem in der Rückschau unseren Weg inspiriert und geprägt haben, ohne dass sie es vielleicht selber wissen.
Der Platz, wo wir uns hin und wieder mal von Aussen betrachten können und uns wiederfinden.
…und den Zigarettenautomaten an dem ich heimlich vor jeder Party noch schnell angehalten habe, gibt es ja tatsächlich immer noch…

„Open your windows wide - In your Hometown“ - manchmal hilft es ja, ein bisschen frische Luft hereinzulassen - in die eigene Geschichte.
